Rug design is the best! Wife and secure

I’m so glad that I bought this ramp. My dog has joint issues, so this ramp is perfect for helping her get in and out of the car with ease. It’s incredibly stable and well-designed, with a non-slip rug surface that gives him secure footing, even on rainy days. The 71” length and gentle incline make it easy for him to walk up without any hesitation or fear, which was a big concern for us with other ramps. It folds up easily for storage and has made our trips so much smoother and stress-free. Highly recommended for any pet owner!

63” is Best for Low to Mid Height Vehicles But Works on Taller Vehicles as Well

We ordered this pet ramp to make it easier for our dogs to get into the back of an elevated vehicle. The 63” length is best for low to mid height vehicles, but also works with our lifted Bronco. It just makes the ramp a bit steeper for the dogs.

For the most part, this ramp shows good quality construction. The surface and side rails are metal. The mesh surface provides good traction for the dogs. The only potential issue is the possibility of catching a toenail in one of the openings. The ramp itself is quite rigid once open. It holds my 100 pound labrador’s weight just fine, without any flexing or slipping.

A simple locking mechanism holds the two sides together when folded for storage. A carrying handle is securely attached to the side of 1/2 of the ramp. We found it odd that the handle was attached with metal brackets at an angle as opposed to flush with the side rails of the ramp. I don’t think this will impact functionality, it’s just an aesthetic preference.

Initially, my husband set up the ramp for the dogs. He said it was easy to unfold, to set the rubber feet against the bumper, and to secure the ramp with the metal carabiner. He did have to adjust the strap length and mentioned that the carabiner didn’t seem strong enough in the event that a heavy dog was on the ramp and it slipped off the bumper. This is supposed to provide an added security measure. Putting a stronger carabiner onto the strap would definitely make the connection more secure for heavier dogs.

Along the entire length of the ramp on both sides is a black and white visibility strip. This is helpful in low light conditions so that no one trips over the extended ramp.

For our younger dog, training was a little more challenging than for our older dog. The older guy went right up into the back of the Bronco and came right down without issue. The little guy was terrified that he could see the ground through the ramp and resisted for some time. We finally got him to use the ramp independently (a few treats go a long way.) Closing up the ramp was just as easy as installing it. Simply disconnect the security strap, fold it in half, and use the latch to lock it in place. I found the ramp lightweight enough to carry and to lift into the back of the vehicle on my own.

Overall, we are quite happy with this dog ramp and plan to make good use of it this summer as we embark on road trips with the dogs.

Honestly ...

For years I had a small car. It was perfect for me and great on gas. That was before Giant came into my life. As an 8-week-old puppy, he had already outgrown the back seat. I invested in a BIG BIG car for my beloved Giant. The problem was that he wasn't coordinated enough to get into the vehicle. As his weight went up, I needed a new way to get him in the vehicle easily. My interests in dog ramps began!
This dog ramp is great for weight. The steel frame is good up to 300 lbs. This is a ramp version. The company states that you can use it inside for beds as well. True ... but ... it is over 5 feet long. Most people do not have that type of room. The system folds down to 3" x 31". If you are traveling with it, it is not easy to find space for it.

Dog ramp

Got this ramp for the few steps out our back door for our French bulldogs. They use it like a charm and it has worked great. They both IVDD so we wanted something to avoid them going up and down steps and this ramp is perfect. This has been out all winter and weathered all elements (snow, rain, ice, sun) and held up amazingly. I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a ramp for a few steps for your dogs.
