This is a great lighting kit for a beginner or a hobbyist. There are 2 remotes included in the product making activation of different scenes a breeze while busily moving about the studio. There are multiple brightness available on the main lights making it a simple and versatile set up.The only con: these tripods are sturdy enough for indoor lighting but take these outdoors and your lighting kit may fly away. The materials are light plastic with thin metal tubes. So it’s not your highest quality, but gets the job done. I recommend purchasing some sandbags if you plan to use this for outdoor use.
This kit is targeted to a very specific user. If you've been a photographer for a decade, this isn't going to impress you. If you have an established studio and need some specific things, this isn't going to impress you. This is ideal for someone setting up a studio and who isn't sure what they will need or how to use things. This is an amazing way to get familiar with all sorts of equipment. The value is 5/5 stars because it's inexpensive. For this price, even if you don't use a soft box but end up liking the reflectors, you win. If you end up using one of the backdrops but not the others, you win. If you use some of the light stands but not the others, you win. This kit buys versatility. You have options to do anything you can think of. I didn't want to buy a better boom lighting stand because I didn't know if I'd really use one. Now I have the luxury of seeing if it's right for my configuration. I can always buy a better one later.Everything in this kit is entry level and a little cheap. The clamps have little grippy feet on them that come off. I have better clamps. If I'd never used those little clamps before these would be amazing because these are how you get your backdrops to have no wrinkles. This is a lot of fun and it's so affordable. There is something in it for everyone. I give the whole thing 5 stars because of the experience it gave me to test things.I've set everything up but put a lot of it back into it's handy dandy storage bag. Here is what I'm using and why. I love the soft boxes. The included bulbs have a remote that allows for several degrees of warm/cool balance as well as dimmability. Unfortunately, these bulbs do not retain their brightness settings from the previous use. I use the same settings every time because they are in my podcast video studio. I am upgrading the bulbs which I feel completely OK with because I got to learn all about softbox lighting using this part of the kit.The main backdrop frame is adequate. It is not for outdoor use, not that it should be. I repurposed it to frame my entire background. I attached both softbox lights to it (see photos) so they could provide good toplighting to both people in the podcast as well as counter any hard shadows I had in the background before. The frame is strong enough for this and a couple of other small LED panel lights. It goes tall so I bumped the vertical stands to the ceiling so I have the most lighting options. I now have the backgrounds that I use for product shots in the garage for things I want to sell. I actually broke this kit down into two separate photo locations and still have parts leftover. The point is, this is a super budget friendly way to learn a ton about studio lighting and you don't have to use everything. I would have been super happy to get this a year ago when I set up my podcast room the first time. Just get the kit and see what happens.

This is a comprehensive kit that includes pretty much anything you would need to make a photo shoot more professional and legitimate.Putting everything together for use is simple and straightforward with multiple stands and mounts creating a very versatile workspace. That being said, once you extend the stands and have the covers open, the lights can become wind sails and literally knock over multiple times if used outdoors. Everything feels very sturdy until you start extending and spreading out everything. We used this at a small party as a mock Photo Booth, and it did work out well, with the exception of the lights falling over several times when even a slight breeze came by. To be fair, we probably should have setup a little differently, but the results were good overall. As stated by others; this is a great setup for the photog who is just starting out and wants to take the next step to up their game.

Works great
I’ve used other lighting kits before, but this one is by far the best value. It’s very affordable and the quality is on par with higher-end kits.
The different umbrellas give you plenty of options for controlling the light. I love the golden umbrella for a warmer tone in my portraits.
As someone who likes to shoot at home, this kit has made it so much easier. The backdrop and lighting are great for creating professional-looking shots.
