I liked the how well it works not only with drywall, but sanding off some of the mess on the floor in prep for clear seal.

For the price, this thing made quick work of sanding! Glad I invested in it.The ring light helped quite a bit too.

I have a couple palm sanders and I always have a project I am working on. This palm sander is great at easily removing material. Whenever I use the typical palm sander for drywall work, the sandpaper quickly clogs and I’m stuck replacing sandpaper prematurely. I was able to sand an entire wall with one pad using this sander. The sander comes with 3 different grains of sandpaper pads to get you started right out of the box.The sander does an amazing job at collecting dust. The pads have holes to improve the dust collection and minimize cleanup. The pads stay secured throughout the project and are easy to remove. Whenever I used other sanders, even those with dust collectors, they would always leave a ton of powder on the floor and anything within the area. The cleanup then becomes as tedious as the application and sanding combined. The only thing to keep in mind is that the dust collector container does not hold a lot so be sure to keep an eye on it or once it’s full, it will minimize dust collection.This sander haves a 1-6 variable speed selector. This is great when you do not need a lot of speed when removing softer material. It also helps to minimize the amount of material you are slinging around. It also haves a sealed power switch, and both the power and speed can be reached and operated with one hand.This is a very capable sander that has found a new home in my tool closet.

Please note, the product being shown on this page has been changed. As of the writing of this review, the product shown is a 300W Drywall sander. The product I ordered and received was a handheld orbital sander.The handheld sander shown in the photo is what I will be reviewing.This sander is very functional for light sanding applications. I use it mostly for finish work rather than more aggressive material removal. In that capacity, this works great, but for heavier needs, this probably won't serve you well. It will probably tackle heavier jobs, but it will take time. Don't try to force down on the sander to help, as you will only manage to load it down and possibly diminish the life expectancy as it would any motorized tool. It's comfortable in the hand and not overly heavy, so hand fatigue will be minimized.For dust collection, I would recommend hooking up to a vacuum of some sort as the included "dust collector" is of little use. Upon first use, I had to double check that it was attached properly because it didn't seem to be working very well. The design seems sound, but I didn't have any luck with it. This is the only reason I am giving it four rather than five stars.As I said, the sander itself performs well for light to medium jobs. It's a good value for the money. It is a corded unit, so you won't have the convenience of portability of a battery operated unit, however that also means that you won't be limited by battery life.

Note, this item and listing no longer matched my original item.The 5in sander I did get is very well built, powerfull (Only bogs with pretty high hand pressure and 60 grit), and super smooth.Love the black rubber grips all around the handles.And my shop vac hook right up for easy dust collection.1 point off due the well built and thought put plastic dust collector, but it just doesnt work well.

The palm sander arrived very quickly and packaged very well. The first pic is a rough board before sanding and the second pic is just after a few minutes sanding. It has varying speeds and the high speed is great for the rough boards I am working with. It is easy and fun to use. I highly recommend.

Even with the dust guards and a large shop vac connected, dust still coated everything in the house. This may be true of any of these type of tools though.

Easily fits into a bag and brought to my new house, has great power, and the LED light is very useful for seeing uneven spots in the drywall. The vacuuming effect is good, but the working noise is very loud, so it is recommended to wear earplugs.

I bought this sander for the specific purpose of sanding a bathroom ceiling where the paint had begun to flake off due to humidity. We had to remove all the loose paint to fix it properly. It's a win-win for everyone involved.

The unit does a good job at minimizing dust and sanding very evenly. The only issue I had is the led lights went out pretty early on in my use. It did not affect the use of it, just required a little extra time checking to make sure the sanding was even.
