We purchased this A/C in May of 2023.First of all, it's much more lightweight than many 10,000-BTU units and smaller. It does an excellent job cooling as well; it works. On a day here in NYC that's cooler but humid, the "Dry" setting provides coolth with less expense.Now, this is year 2. Fact is, this has been a very hot summer here. And while some other regions have had it much hotter, it's been hot enough in NYC for us to keep the A/C running on "Cool" continually day and night without being able to shut it off. Acekool is not as known a brand as the big ones, and I've been clenching my teeth, hoping it wouldn't die from mechanical exhaustion during those 100-degree heat index days. God forbid and all. It didn't. It's been terrific.So far, so excellent. Price is reasonable too, and you don't have to dismantle the whole thing to install it in the window and go through all sorts of changes, either.Yes, I recommend.

Absolutely a very good AC unit I have installed it in a 350 sg ft room and where I live it gets to 108 degrees or higher and within a let's say 5 minutes the room is nice and cold and the AC unit wasn't even working that hard. Let's see how it works over this summer and I will get back on here and tell the results. Well, the AC unit worked great even purchased another one, this is an excellent unit that does the job. I would recommend this unit to those who need an excellent AC unit.

Fits in the window an cools the room nicely

I turn on the air conditioning unit an hour before I go to bed every night and it cools down from close to 80 to mid-70s within an hour, which allows me to fall asleep in comfort. It was comfortable all night long. The unit is very quiet and I added an extra piece of wood to the windowsill which probably helped. But it sounded like something I could sleep through with no problems. It sounds like white noise - a bit like a hotel air conditioner, but it's a constant hum so it doesn't disturb most people. It does make noise, it's just soothing noise because it's making the air cooler and happier.
