I am in the process of building book shelf and cabinet built-ins in our remodeled basement. For joinery I will be using a combination pocket hole screws, biscuits and wooden dowels. This drill press will come in handy for edge drilling holes in boards for wooden dowels so they can be joined and edge glued together to form cabinet tops.At first I wasn't sure if this came with a depth stop gauge because it wasn't clear in the product description. Have you always wanted drill press for your home ?This may be a Great option. First the cost is very good for what you are getting.It stands about 2 feet high and weighs about 45 poundsIt has a belt system to adjust speed, can comes with a safety shield (if desired)If you just need a drill press once in a while or do some repetitive drilling this might be your answer.5 Stars

I'm satisfied with product, however the instruction manual has Model: DP0813ZM but the Garvee specs. show BOCHJ8ZS81. Also garvee shows 5 Gear Speed Adjustment but the owners manual no mention. I gave the product 5 stars only because it meets my needs but makes me wonder, did I get the wrong product.

I would have given a 5 star, probably a 9 star, rating, but the column clamp had some metal casting overage and I had to spend a bit of time fitting it correctly. I've used it quite a bit now and it has been real solid. Definitely a pleasure to work with.👍👍 Enjoy 👍👍

I had this short bout with Harbor Freight and 2 of their drill presses that wobbled really badly. This one doesn't wobble, so it's already way ahead. It's great for hobbyists for sure. For 40 hours a week type use I'm not so sure, mine probably only has 20 hours of spinning time so far. It's basically the same thing from harbor freight in terms of controls and features. It makes holes and that's about it.

Bought this for drilling holes in thick leather for stitching. So far it works great but does get a bit warm after an hour or so of continuous use.
