Works great as a fence underlayment

I bought 100 ft of the 6ft tall and it’s absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. I’m using this behind my privacy fence to block light from showing through the gaps in the fence board. This fence design is called venetian fencing and it’s very popular in the UK. I haven’t seen any videos of people building them here in the US but I think this stuff is perfect for it. I do recommend getting enough to do a double layer because light will shine through a single layer slightly. This stuff feels kind of like felt, cuts relatively easily and doesn’t appear to fray.

Thinner fabric than I thought.

I thought this material would've been thicker. It's very thin. It remains to be seen how well it will prevent weeds and grass.

Geotextile 8 oz

Used for drainage around our house. We trenched then used the fabric to line the trench. We placed river rock inside the fabric which held it very well with no tears to the fabric. We then folded it over and will be placing more river rock over it.

This stuff is really strong but water goes through it really quickly

I was impressed by the how thick and sturdy this fabric is, yet water flew through it! I tested a piece and wrapped it taught over a coffee cup and turned on the faucet with a steady stream and water didn’t even roll of it a bit. There is one thing I need to warn you about. Buy really strong quality landscape staples. It’s tough to get through when you have to overlap the fabric a little. I ran out of the good ones and had to buy an alternate at the local store and at least 1/3 of them just bent and didn’t go through.

Prevent erosion and allow drainage

I used this product for a storm water retention pond, rolled out easy, staples down with no problem, the fabric is thick and durable, I would purchase this item again if another similar project comes my way

Durable underlayment for rock and gravel projects

Great product! We used this underlayment for a large, weed-infested area that we turned into a raised-bed garden and it worked great! It's been one full summer since install and no weeds have come through the 3/4" gravel we spread on top. Easy to install, lightweight but very durable.

Easy to handle ...

true to dimension and heavy duty. Excellent geofabric. I used it for weed barrier under river rock. Comes folded (10' x 100') but can be easily unfolded and rolled up on a paint roller handle or similar. Cuts with regular scissors or utility knife.

Truly heavy duty

Not a Pro just a DIY, let me tell'ya! This cloth is strong! I applied one layer first and a "heavy duty" vigoro from the big box store. I'm a 200lbs guy, that played around on top of this material while laying it and it did not even wrinkle. The Vigoro got a rip while I twisted my boot on top of it nailing the paver bases on top. I am impressed by this geotextile. May order more, I like it so much.
