TL;DR: It's exactly as pictured, and is sturdy itself but definitely needs to be wedged between furniture and the wall due to the tall/long vs skinny shape. I'd give it prob 4.5 stars, and I'm rounding up here since it's priced in the double digits.I wanted something for behind my office sofa, but console tables are sooooo expensive. I knew it would go against the wall, not be visible, so I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for something purely functional. I've built console tables from scratch in the past, but I'm not up for that size project right now. I found this for like $63 or something - an absolute steal. I had low hopes for the price lol, but I'm really impressed! It arrived in a surprisingly heavy box - a good sign. I lugged it upstairs, and saw that the instructions estimated 2 people and 1 hr. Welp, it did end up taking me about 1hr from very beginning (lugging upstairs) to very end (getting it set into place). But I did it by myself, without much trouble, so as long as you're able to move a ~50lb table around by yourself, you should be ok.The cons: Some of the pieces were a pain to get together. I had to swap steps 1 & 2 in the instructions because step 2 was just not happening for me in the normal order (if you're building this now, consider putting the large H-frame together first, then attaching it to the wood). Later, one hole had a pretty significant (maybe 1.5mm) extra chunk of metal attached inside...which meant that the bolt wouldn't go in at all; had to leave the bolt out of that one, but with everything else tight, it was fine so no big loss.It would be nice if this included adjustable feet caps and a couple small felt pads for the wall and furniture touchpoints, but it does not. (I have them somewhere, but you can see that I used the packing foam for right now until I find them lol.)The wood top, as clearly seen in the pics, is two pieces. I'm sure it would cost a lot more to ship something if it were full length, but obviously it cheapens it just a little bit. No complaint here though. If you really wanted to put a nice piece of wood, you could certainly do so with some drilling & jigsawing.I ordered the gray, and it looks exactly as it does in the picture. I have a lot of office furniture from a couple years ago that was called, back then, "taupe" or "driftwood" - a warm grayish that is still pretty common. This is not the exact same color, but it coordinates fine. All sides are finished (apart from the inside of the hole for the power outlet). If you wanted to switch the wood planks so that the outlet is on the right side of the seam vs the left side, it's easy to do so - but it'll still be mostly in the center (not on the very end, unless you do some drilling). The power strip is black, which shows up pretty significantly against the gray wood, but I don't think they're really making power strips in wood-tone colors lol...at least not for less than the cost of this table. What else? Obviously you'll want to wedge this between furniture. There's no getting around that for something this shape, unless maybe the very base weighs like 3x the rest or something. It stands fine on it's own, but if someone knocks it (esp on carpet), it'll tip. If you did adjustable feet (or felt bottoms on the front feet), you could prob just have it slightly lean toward the wall/furniture, but hope nobody is clumsy or too rambunctious lol.Oh, last: as with this type of thing, only put the bolts/etc in LOOSELY at first. Put them all in loosely so you can get everything lined up and square, then tighten at the end. Sometimes people don't remember that, and the smallest change in angle can screw up the alignment and make things difficult later :)Anyway, would recommend! Very happy with this!
