This is nice because it is inexpensive and relatively well made, and comes with a cooking stone and spatula tool.The challenge of course is the heat source.I had my best result so far mounting it over a charcoal grill, and using wood fuel.I am still experimenting with heights, and shielding for the flameI also want to try to get an old propane stove, oven burner, working as a heat source if I can.I wanted something that did not cost 100$ plus and this fit the bill nicely, and again even more so because of the very decent quality fabrication, it is not junk.There are similar units that come with a grill unit t ofit underneath, but as I realized the rectangular grill that I had, wold work, I could see no reason to spend the extra money and have another item sitting around unused.

I believe a 12 inch pizza slides onto this ceramic base but I had difficulty in the hot transfer even with a pizza pill so I slid it in on a 12 inch metal pizza plate. I found the pizza peal helps with removal but a long metal spatula allows you to lift and rotate the crust better. It’s not exactly like a restaurant pizza oven but the next best thing to achieving a crisp crust. I bought a laser temp to get my oven temp prior to inserting the pizza dough . The key is to get it hot enough before the pizza goes in . Cheese sticks to the ceramic plate which can be removed once cooled. Just keep an eye on your toppings and crust when cooking.

Using the sear burner on my outdoor grill, was able to get this up to 600+, perfect for small pizzas and calzones. Takes some practice to figure out timing and a dough recipe that works well with it.

The package arrived in less than a week with standard shipping. That was good. The first thing I noticed when unboxing is the handles have sharp corners, so watch that. A bonus is it came with a peel that was not mentioned, so that's a plus. No bolts to attach the handle, but free peel, so... The oven and stone seem to be of very good quality and workmanship. I haven't used it yet, but plan to tomorrow. I expect it to work well. I will update this post accordingly.
