Reviews
Put out far more heat than I thought It would. Pump was quiet and didn't make the loud clicking so many talk about. Very happy with it overall. 3d Printed some legs for height. Setup was not included in the instructions but was easy to find on youtube. Very good deal for the price!
I installed this unit in my son's old RV. Installation was a snap and much to my surprise, this unit worked quite well. It's not a super power house heater and likely won't work for large open spaces. However, is my son's well insulated and relatively small RV, this diesel heater does quite well.Pros:1) Easy to install and configure2) Works nicely3) Heats nicely4) Relatively quite (nice benefit)5) Not too big6) Has fuel tank built into the enclosureCons:1) I honestly can't identify any ...Overall Takeaway:This is a nicely packaged diesel heater. I highly recommend this unit if you're needing a diesel heater.
Overall, a great value and does everything it claims. Here is my opinion on the positives and negatives.Positives- Really well packaged. All parts were present in the box- Pretty simple to use. Very few buttons.- Comes with remote although I don’t need/use it- Great value for the money and seems well made- Great on fuel consumptionNegatives- Instructions are lacking important info and are extremely hard to understand/read- You have to guess which port of the two is for the exhaust/intake as there is no label on the machine and no instructions.- A little noisey but this is expected- Not powerful enough to heat my uninsulated garage.- Reading on high setting was about 120f coming out of the blower tube which is not very hot.- Reading on the exhaust was almost equal to the reading coming out of the blower (115f) which means you lose a lot of heat out of the exhaust.I’m keeping it just because I can use it elsewhere but for the intended purpose (30x20) garage, it’s just not that powerful. Overall it works as described, just doesn’t meet my needs. Probably great for a one car garage or insulated larger garage/shed.
this heats up quickly and keeps my vehicle warm even in freezing temperatures. The remote control adds great convenience, allowing me to start it up from a distance. Easy to install and energy-efficient.
Great product for the price. Love this thing. It heats up fast and good at heating up a room fast. Only thing that’s not appealing is during the “priming” phase and firing it up, you smell diesel exhaust for a few minutes then done. Definitely worth getting though. A+
This diesel air heater is, first and foremost, diesel. Which is safe especially in transport. Though if you have an RV, it likely already has propane tanks. There are A LOT of parts and not much in the way of instructions. And it is confusing to figure out what to do with the fuel tank. Another reviewer suggested using a coat hanger to help thread the nipple down into the hole you drill in the tank for the fuel nipple. That's a great idea. From the pictures there are lots of positions for this heater that are inside where people are sleeping. I don't think I'd mount it there! It needs to be properly exhausted.I will eventually use it for a camping cabin in lieu of a propane or kerosene heater.
This is a decent heater that requires 12 volts DC and it burns diesel fuel. I am using it to heat a military communications shelter. I have this mounted this outside and it has a small roof overhang to protect it from the weather. The outside shell of this is plastic but the actual heater is metal. This comes with a small fuel pump and a plastic fuel tank. It is a bit of a puzzle as to how to mount the fitting to the tank. You must drill a hole to mount the fitting but how to hold it when you tighten the fitting. This makes a lot of heat and I am quite happy with this item. Remember this needs 12 volts DC and diesel fuel. Good stuff.
This is a nice heater. The pump is one of the quiet pumps that doesn't make that annoying clicking sound. Mine had no install instructions but I've installed over a dozen of these. There are plenty of yt vids. The gas tank requires drilling a hole and mounting the nipple for the fuel line. Use a coat hanger or wire as a slide to guide the nipple down to the hole. Also note there are 2 places to mount the nipple. This is for left or right gas tank install. This unit can be mounted on its side, but note if you do always keep the glow plug side up. While this works good I do have a few complaints. First is this is listed as 12v, which every other heater I've tested is 12/24. I run 24v solar and had to use a buck down, scared to try the 24v way. My other would be the price. For the same price I cam get a unit which is variable voltage, and 8000btu apposed to 5000. Choice is yours....
Did not come with a instructon Manual of how to put together.only manual for the remote.
These things are great. I just bought a new toy hauler and am living in it. Before the diesel heater I was going thru one propane tank ever 2 days. Now I will the diesel heater every day and it runs perfectly. $8.00 for diesel fuel compared 18.50 for propane. When I go to the mountains on the weekends I fill it up and it last form Friday night until Sunday morning on low.Update.I only used the heater for a couple of months back in April 2024.I have been using it again now that the night are getting cooler again. This thing is great. I'll be leaving the campground next month and will be off grid until spring. I intend to get a bigger battery and charger so I'll know it can run for 24 hours. I'll also bring my generator and recharge it a dinner time.
