The cooling down of our living room

We used this to try and lower the room temp while waiting for new HVAC system to be installed.We had record heat wave and it would bring the temp down to 86° which was an improvement over the 100+ indoor temp.The constant changing out of the ice packs and filling the reservoir was quite time consuming. I had to do this about every 3 hours. I bought several ice packs so I could change out in a timely manner.

Day one...

Took that out of the box filled a little freeze bottles up put them in the freezer put 5 gallons of distilled water in it put a bunch of ice in it I'd say it's 20 to 25° cooler coming out than it is in the room. Swamp coolers work you just have to live in a non humid area to get benefit from them.
