Breaking rocks in the hot Sun! Drill works great on a pile of granite boulder with a Bosch bit , followed up with feather and wedges. Making big rocks into smaller rocks for a better dry laid stone wall.

Much better than expected

This rotary hammer drill is much better than I expected it to be given the extremely low price. I used this drill to bore holes in my driveway so that I could fill the voids with foam. The drill comes with an assortment of drill bits and chisels that are fairly good quality. The bits are good enough for long term use on basic home projects as long as they are used correctly. At 9.5 amps, it is not the strongest hammer drill but it packs enough power to get the job done. This drill is literally almost 4x cheaper than my larger hammer drill that came with zero drill bits or chisels. My larger hammer drill was capable of drilling a hole through the concrete in my driveway in about half the time, but it does have more power, and I used the expensive drill bits that are required for that particular tool. This drill is an acceptable budget option that will give you more than your moneys worth in work.

Plenty of power

This is a great hammer drill for the cost. It comes with 3 drill bits & 2 chisels in a sturdy, molded case. It has 4 speed settings and an adjustable large handle. It drills easily through just about anything including a thick concrete cap on a bulkhead. The drill is easy to use although it's a little heavy and comes with good instructions. I recently used it for drilling holes every 2 foot in a concrete bulkhead cap for the insertion of rebar to reinforce a 120 foot cinder block wall. The drill performed great and I finally had to put in a new drill bit as the old one had become dull before I finished the job.Damon M. Tatem

Very Well Made Hammer Drill With Extras!!!

What a great hammer drill this one is. I already started using it to remove stucco from concrete block so I can replace some exterior windows, then I['ll be drilling into the block to use masonry screws to secure the new windows. This drill is powerful and has a very comfortable feel to it when using. One really extra nice feature for this hammer drill is the fact that it comes with an extra chuck. Very simple to remove the one for the masonry drill bits, just pull back the collar and remove the chuck, then insert and lock the adjustable chuck for use with conventional drill bits.Depth gauge is easy to attach and is a good feature to have so you don't drill deeper than you want to. Instruction manual is okay, and the hammer drill comes with a replacement set of brushes. Also included with the hammer drill as some masonry drill bits and accessories, one of which I'm using to chip away the stucco from the solid concrete block wall. Hard storage case is a nice bonus. At least I can store everything that came with the hammer drill in the same hard case, instead of all over the place like sometimes happens with the tools.

Multi use hammer drill - Heavy but works well

This is a pretty heavy duty hammer drill. Mine came missing the chisel bits which was really disappointing. I used the hammer drill as shown in the video. The hammer gauges and kicks in automatically as one it expects and it works well and rather quickly. I like that it comes with two different chucks. One for hammer drilling/chiseling and the other for standard drill bits. It has variable speeds, but it's done by a dial on the side and not by the trigger. The instructions don't have anything to say about the different operating modes. There is a dial with four settings, which you're on your own to interpret. At this price point, it's a pretty good value, but time will tell.

Affordable, Powerful and Versatile

Drilling holes in concrete is not the easiest job, but this drill will get it done quick. I have other hammer drills, but they are all smaller. The SDS system along with the weight and power of this drill, lends itself to making quick work, even drilling 20-year-old concrete. (Concrete only gets harder over time)I used this drill to bore holes in my concrete shop floor so I could mount a tire removal post. Made the job quick and easy. This drill has a number of useful functions and features and comes with a nice selection of accessories including an adjustable bracing grip, 3 masonry bits, 2 chisel bits, wrench and gear-box lubricant, guide rail and even a debris collector and spare motor brushes. The whole kit comes in a sturdy molded case. All the included bits are of the SDS type.By turning a knob, you can switch from a normal drill to hammer-drilling, to chiseling. There is also an option to position the chisel bit at different angles. The drill come with a variety of accessories, including two chucks. One for standard drill bits and one for SDS bits.Just drilling, the keyless, quick-change chuck makes it easy to swap out bits, so it acts like any other drill. The drill offers a variable speed switch mounted on the body rather than the trigger. I prefer a variable speed trigger, but it makes little difference in getting the job done.Switch to SDS hammer drill and you'll need to change the chuck. SDS bits are different in that they are slotted and lock into grooves inside the chuck. SDS bits are slotted to allow the range of the hammer back-and-forth to be longer than a standard hammer drill. This means it can strike with greater force and stroke when hammering or chiseling.Switch to chiseling and the rotation will be disabled. In this mode, you have what is basically a mini jackhammer, useful for busting thin concrete and cement. It would also be good for cleaning up used brick and blocks or scraping stuck ceramic tiles off the floor or wall.I priced several name brand SDS drills in the same class and found them to be 2 to 3 times more expensive. It might be worth it if you're going to use this tool commercial, (maybe not) but for the DIYer or occasionally use, this drill looks to be really well constructed, comes with a variety of expensive accessories, and at the current price of $73, seems like a bargain to me. I can highly recommend it.

Lots of accessories, lightweight, powerful and affordable

Contents:- Hard clamshell case with two latches and carrying handle- SDS+ corded drill with adjustable bracing grip- chuck attachment for drilling- three masonry drill bits- one flat chisel- one pointed chisel- wrench and lubricant- guide rail and misc. partsThis SDS+ hammer drill is lightweight and has decent customizability. The bracing handle is easily manipulated with a pressure switch, so not tools necessary to adjust it. There is a mode change knob on the size with clear indicators for each mode. There is a speed adjustment knob on the rear of the drill. The trigger is multi finger length which is nice. Including all of the drill bits is great. I got this primarily for demolition and removal of an old tile bathroom. This will work much better than a hammer and removal tool. But let's be real, name brand SDS+ drills are super expensive and if you're not using it over and over it's not worth the cost. This is super affordable for a comparable drill with accessories. I will sacrifice longevity for my minimal uses and much more affordable option.

Nice Hammer Drill

Nice Hammer Drill. Nice case which keeps everything nicely secure. Plenty of choices on how to use with all the quick attachments. Today made Cement pads for raising and securing a pergola thats over my hot tub so the cover wont hit and so wind wont blow it away. The hammer drill made short work of drilling 4" deep 3/16" holes for the tapcon screws. Cant wait for the bigger projects!

This is the best one of these hammer drills I have tested!

I have been testing these for a while now and this is by far the best one yet!The set is intended for a heavier end homeowner who needs more than the occasional hole in the concrete garage floor to mount a Grinder stand. That's the best way I can describe this one.I have set a car hoist in my shop with a lesser tool than this. It would easily have cut my drilling time in half and those were 3/4" holes. The first thing I always do is check the gear box. This was packed full of wheel bearing grease which is what I use anyway. They do supply a tube of great to keep it topped off.The SDS system is great and it includes 3 drills and two chisel points. That said, there are times when you have a specific size you need to drill that you just don't have in SDS. For this they include an amazing standard, keyless chuck. The instructions are lacking in how to swap them out but you basically pull back on the collar portion closest to the drill motor. While holding it back pull out the chuck and swap it with the other one. Done.If you haven't used a lot of standard cement drills without the SDS you must have them seated all the way to the bottom. If not it will drive it there as soon as you hit the trigger and may mar the drill shaft. The depth rod is metal. I like that. Some are plastic, seriously. The gear box uses a spanner to take it out but please take the time to check it before every use. These really take a beating and only that grease will save it.The debris collector is needed if you are drilling overhead. It doesn't hold a lot but it will be worth slipping it on to catch the dust falling down.Note: the blocks I test on are cement, not Cinder so this is a good hard test. The drill went through as fast as my Milwaukee and this is the only one I have tested that I can say that about.Everything is stored nicely in a very nice case.I do highly recommend this hammer drill and hope you found this review helpful.
