I was so excited to get this for my mom’s famous Christmas potato’s. Y’all , I don’t know what she puts in those potatoes but I have never tasted potatoes like my mom’s ever. She brings them to our yearly Christmas party and w are always needing to reheat them which I feels drys them out a little. So when I saw this I thought, perfect!This shiny little thing is very well built and accessible with the roll top lid. I have not tested how it warms yet but excited to put my mummy's potatoes in it and keep them fresh and warm.

Since I always have a party at home I decide to upgrade my chafing and this looks beautiful on my son birthday party , I wish the tray are thicker but it’s thin not a thick one . I hope this will long last .. after all I love them..

Wish the very bottom of legs was more sturdy or had some type rubber grip to hold it in place.Opening the lid causes the entire thing to slide around the table for the unit itself is a bit heavy. Rotatory hinge on lid is not smooth or at least not straight out of packaging. Perhaps it will loosen in time and use? First use and it moves quite stiff.The unit itself is gorgeous! Strong construction, very shiny and professional looking. Large capacity under the lid and solid construction underneath where the sterno cups go.Everything is included for you to use this immediately without having to order additional parts or pieces including a full size hotel pan.Perfect for home events.

I’ve owned a catering and event planning company for almost 20 years and have used all types of chafing dishes- simple frame, outdoor, fancy scroll, induction, copper- I own and have used MANY types of chafing dishes. This is a nice chafing dish and it is a complete set. It comes almost fully assembled (you just have to put the handle on the lid) and comes with everything you need, except chaffing fuel (I always use and suggest the wick fuels- the gel fuels are unpredictable). This includes the frame with attached lid- the roll top lid rolls completely under for storage- water pan, food pan, 2 chafing cups and this set also includes a tong and serving spoon. This type of chaffing dish would be ideal for a hotel, bed & breakfast, or home use. I don’t think it would be great for an off-site catering company who has to haul all their equipment in. This chaffing dish is not heavy, but with typical wear and tear from transportation I feel that it would get dinged or dented- it’s just the nature of transporting so much equipment (and my employees could break an anvil I feel), but would be great for a entertaining at home or at a hotel/b&b where you’re not going to be hauling it back and forth. To keep this chafing dish looking great- all you need is a can of stainless steel cleaner. This is a really nice set- for a great price. Highly recommend
