The sander comes as an incomplete set. It requires another device in order to use it. The instructions say, “always work with a dust extractor”. After googling this term, I learned that a dust extractor is not a vacuum and a shop vac is also not a dust extractor; it would require a special filter.

I have two other sanders similar, but they are both 5-inch. Since this sander is six inches in diameter, I can cover another 20% more. In my mind, one inch didn't sound much larger, but in practice, it seems to sand a bit smoother and easier to get nice results.Sanders use a lot of battery power, so I’ve switched to corded sanders. The power this sander has is nice. It has six speeds that are controlled by two buttons, a plus sign + for speeding up the speed and a minus sign – button to push to slow down the speed. To show what speed the sander is currently running, there is a light between the plus and minus buttons that displays the speed. Just below is the power button.The sander has a unique way to start the rotation. Once the power button is pushed, a hand must be placed on top of the sander to depress a lever that engages the motor. When pressed, the sander spins. Take a hand off the lever, the rotation stops. (See Photo)Perhaps because this sander is brushless, even at the highest speeds, the noise the sander makes is so much quieter than any other sander I have or have had. This is a real plus for me!With an 18 month warranty, I don’t think I’ll go wrong with this 6” random orbital sander by PioneerWorks.

I am very happy with this sander. He can adjust the speed as much as he wants, which is very convenient for me, and it won't damage my work easily, and the right speed reduces mechanical wear, and because it is of good quality, I hope it will last a long time, all in all, it's great for me! I love it!

I like this product very much, it's not very heavy to hold, and it can even replace the sandpaper. It's very well made. Like that we can buy the whole sandpaper and cut it to the same size to fit perfectly. Very economical.

I do a lot of woodwork and having sanders of differing sizes is makes haste of all my projects. This is my first 6 inch orbital sander. I have to say it is comfortable to use and I really like the on/off paddle. Variable speed and easy on the hands. Seems to do the job effortlessly. The price point seems reasonable. Garvee carries a wide selection of 6 inch sanding disks at a good price so over all I think it is a good sander overall.

I was really surprised with the quality of this sander. I've used a DeWalt ROS for woodworking for quite awhile. This sander was much smoother without all of the vibration I'm used to. It also is considerably quieter even at top speed. I like the paddle switch instead of having to feel around for the toggle switch on my old sander. The larger sized sanding pad means sanding won't take quite as long. The speed control is nice as well.

This is a decent sander. Everything appears to work correctly. A pretty good price on this item. It looks okay and spins okay.This is a fairly decent quality item though not up to the level of top notch brands but you were going to pay for the difference.

Good quality orbital sander for any size project/body work.I have been really happy with the performance so far. I took a risk when I ordered this as I didn't know if I would be able to use it with my dust extractor but with the small adapter they send it fits almost perfect. Overall happy especially for the price I was able to get it for.
