I'm now a sanding fiend

Years ago, I borrowed a "palm" type sander from a friend, and in retrospect, I imagine there was something wrong with it, because within about 60 seconds of switching it on, the vibration was so intense that it was literally painful to use.As I'm not in the carpentry business, I really never really had a big use for one, plus, in the back of my head, I always recalled my one bad experience. Then I had a couple of small honey-do projects come up where I thought this kind of sander would be helpful... and as a VINE item, if it was terrible--no great loss.I have a 20+ year-old end-grain cutting board from William's-Sonoma that even in the late 1990s cost about $135. We kept it clean, and oiled, but there was no mistaking the fact that it'd seen two decades of use. Since it wasn't cheap, it was worth a shot at restoration.I took it out to the garage, and with one of the coarse-grit sanding pads, (three different grits are supplied), went to work. Wow! Not only did it make very quick work of getting through 20 years of cut-marks, but it was COMFORTABLE! Really, really comfortable to use. There was absolutely NO sensation of weird vibrations running through my hand and up into my forearm. I could've sanded for an hour.I finished up with the finest grit pad in the package and though the cutting board looked like a sheet of bare plywood at that point, a quick wipe-down with a damp cloth followed by a treatment with Walrus Board Oil, and then finally Walrus Board Wax, saw this board restored to an amazing state. There are still some VERY fine scratch marks remaining, but it looks about ten times better than it did when I started this project. All in all, I'm sorry I waited this long to pick up a sander like this, though this one was an excellent choice for an occasional user like myself.

Really good sander!

This thing is cheap and its fantastic. I ordered this one along with the orbital sander from the same brand, and they're both exactly what I needed to finish the flooring in my loft.I planed some pine that I harvested from our yard to use for loft floor. I used these sanders exclusively to smooth the surface and the edges of each plank of pine. The result? A baby's bottom would be jealous....Bare foot approved. The little dust collectors do their job, and the sander comes with replacement sandpaper. For this price, I was blown away by the performance!

Powerful Sander

I used this machine to sand a painted dresses that I was refinishing, and it worked well. It also removed particle board pieces from a trim I took off the dresser. It made my job easy and it was easy to maneuver.

Great for Restoring Furniture!

I use a sander several times a week. I have an orbital sander- but for tight spaces, corners, etc- it can’t do the job. I love using this Towallmark detail sander. It makes the corner jobs easy. It has plenty of power for my needs. The sandpapers attach well - and it comes with several different grades of sandpaper to get you started. Very satisfied with the performance of this sander. It is easy to hold onto- and I have small hands.

Great sander for any DIY project!

Electric Sander is a fantastic tool for both DIY projects and more detailed sanding work. I’ve used it on wood, and even painted surfaces, and it performs consistently well every time. The sander is lightweight and easy to handle, reducing hand fatigue during extended use. it’s a reliable and efficient tool that’s perfect for both beginners and experienced DIYers. Highly recommended!

Fantastic sander!

This sander is awesome and easy to use. I was so glad it came with the extra sand paper because I really went through them.Busted out a dresser, nightstand, and dining table redo with this little guy and it was surprisingly effective. So far I'm very happy with my purchase.

Works great!

Sander works good! Doesn’t leave marks like the round sanders. I like the instant stop and variable speed. The hose connects to my vacuum well, I love that it’s long and doesn’t seem to get super dusty.

A good little sander!

Performs very well. I bought this for my husband to use on the wooden headboard and footboard of his king bed, he used it very easily, even changed the sandpaper, he was very happy with my gift, but it did take him a little more time in the tool room, but I am very happy with it.

Good but Quite Loud

It did its job efficiently but the motor is quite loud. I also have to let it rest at 5-minute intervals because it gets warm. But it does the job! I would recommend getting higher-quality sand papers though.
